The Short Version

Diesel Barbershop and Diesel Barbershop Franchising LLC, operated by Men's Grooming Concepts LLC ("we," "us," "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit dieselbarbershop.com (the "Site"), contact us, book an appointment, apply for a job, or visit our shop — how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights over it.

In plain English: we collect the information we need to serve our guests, run our shop, and hire our team. We do not sell your personal information. We comply with applicable privacy laws, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and — for visitors from those regions — the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Questions? Email info@dieselbarbershop.com.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you give us

  • Contact form — your name, email address, phone number, the location you select, and the message you send us.
  • Appointment booking — when you book, your name, contact details, and appointment details. Booking, point-of-sale, and customer records are handled by our providers Unchained Systems Inc. (operator of ampbyus.com) and Salon Ultimate (operator of bookedby.com); information you enter through them is also subject to each provider's privacy policy.
  • Careers applications — if you apply for a job through the Site, the information you submit through our careers form, which may include your name, contact details, work history, and any attachments you upload (such as a resume). Resumes and similar attachments are more sensitive than ordinary contact details; we handle them accordingly.
  • In shop — when you receive services, we keep service and appointment records and process payment. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Reviews and communications — content you send us or post about us.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect device information (browser, operating system), IP address and approximate location, the pages you view and how you navigate, and referring URLs — through cookies and similar technologies and through analytics and tag-management services, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (see Section 7).

1.3 Information from third parties

We may receive information from our scheduling providers (booking confirmations), our payment processor (transaction confirmations), review and analytics platforms, and social media platforms if you interact with our content there.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide services and manage appointments — schedule, confirm, remind, and follow up.
  • Respond to you — answer inquiries sent through the contact form, by phone, or otherwise.
  • Hire our team — review and respond to job applications and manage recruiting.
  • Communicate with you — send appointment notifications and reminders, and — with your consent — marketing messages.
  • Improve the Site and our shop — analyze usage, troubleshoot, and personalize content.
  • Protect against fraud and abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with the law — meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data under these legal bases: contract performance (to provide services you request), legitimate interest (to run, secure, and improve our business), consent (for marketing and certain cookies), and legal obligation.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate, including our website host (Webflow), our point-of-sale, customer-management, and scheduling providers (Unchained Systems Inc. — operator of ampbyus.com, and Salon Ultimate — operator of bookedby.com) and their payment processors, analytics and tag-management providers (Google), email/SMS messaging providers, and review-platform providers. These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us and must keep it confidential.
  • Legal disclosures — if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to enforce our Terms of Service; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Diesel, our guests, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets.
  • With your consent — for any other purpose you authorize.

4. Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising / "Sale" or "Sharing"

Some analytics and advertising partners use cookies and tracking technologies that, under California's CCPA/CPRA and similar laws, may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to opt out — see Section 8.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records. Typically: job-application materials — including resumes and other attachments — are kept for 24 months, after which they are securely deleted or anonymized unless you are hired or ask us to keep your application on file; service and transaction records are kept for about 7 years to meet tax and accounting requirements; contact-form messages and appointment records are kept for as long as reasonably needed for our relationship with you; marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe; and website analytics are generally kept up to 26 months at the individual level, then aggregated. When we no longer need information, we securely delete or anonymize it.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to protect your information: Site traffic is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS; payment information is handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors, and we do not store full card numbers; access to personal information is limited to staff and contractors who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, local storage) to operate the Site, remember preferences, analyze usage, and — where applicable — support advertising.

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function. These cannot be disabled.
  • Performance / analytics — help us understand how visitors use the Site (Google Analytics, deployed through Google Tag Manager).
  • Functional — remember your preferences.
  • Advertising / targeting — used by us or our partners to measure and serve relevant advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may limit Site functionality. For advertising cookies, you can opt out via the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of "sale"/"sharing" where applicable.

8. Your Privacy Rights

We provide all consumers, regardless of location, with the right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about them, correct inaccurate information, delete personal information (subject to legal retention requirements), and opt out of marketing.

8.1 Texas residents (TDPSA)

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives Texas consumers the right to confirm whether we process their personal data and to access it, correct inaccuracies, delete personal data, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. To exercise these rights, email info@dieselbarbershop.com with the subject line "Texas Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying within 60 days.

8.2 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents also have the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties we share it with; to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to non-discrimination for exercising their rights. Email us with the subject line "California Privacy Request."

8.3 EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Visitors from the EU and UK also have the right to withdraw consent, object to processing based on legitimate interest, restrict processing in certain circumstances, obtain data portability, and lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

8.4 Other states

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights; email us and we will handle each request under the applicable state law.

8.5 Verifying your identity

To protect your information, we will verify your identity before fulfilling a request — for example, by confirming information already on file — and will not ask for more than necessary. You may use an authorized agent, with proof of authorization.

9. SMS / Text Messages (TCPA)

Appointment texts. When you provide your mobile number to book or manage an appointment, you consent to receive recurring automated appointment notifications, confirmations, and reminders by text message. These are transactional messages sent as part of providing our Services.

Marketing texts. Diesel sends promotional or marketing text messages only to guests who have given separate, specific opt-in consent to receive marketing texts. Opting in to marketing texts is optional, is separate from your agreement to our Terms, and is never a condition of booking or receiving any service.

For both types of messages, frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; for help, reply HELP or contact us. We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

10. Email Marketing (CAN-SPAM)

We send promotional emails only to people who opt in. Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed. Transactional messages (appointment confirmations and reminders) are not promotional and are sent as part of our service to you.

11. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children online. We do provide grooming services to minors in the shop, with a parent or legal guardian present and consenting; any information collected in connection with a minor's service is provided and managed by that parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International Visitors

Diesel operates in the United States. If you contact us or use the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

13. Links to Other Sites

The Site links to third-party websites and services (for example, our scheduling providers and social media). We are not responsible for their privacy practices; review their policies before providing personal information.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and update the "Last updated" date; for material changes we will provide additional notice where required by law.
